This system governs how NPCs respond the moment they become aware of your presence. Their reactions depend on your current appearance, behavior, and context. Walk into a village dressed normally, and you might get a passing glance—nothing more. But show up covered in blood, weapon drawn, or mid-transformation into a werewolf, and the town square will erupt into panic. NPCs don’t wait for dialogue—they react instantly, viscerally, and realistically to what they see.
In Veilwalker, what your character knows is just as important as what you, the player, know. This system monitors in-game knowledge gained through exploration, conversation, or investigation. Dialogue options, quest solutions, and world interactions adapt based on your character’s understanding of events, people, and places—discouraging guesswork and rewarding genuine discovery.
